When the display fails / lines begin to drop you can repair it by screwin the mc505 open get the display loosse and heat the white back plastic tape/cable where it connects to the lcd with an heated smoothing iron. I tried few times, starting with 5 seconds, 7 seconds, 12 seconds. Turn on the power in between the tryouts and theck is any improvement has happened. It really works!!! My diplay misses only 2 lines in stead of a lot... works fine again!
